The project of district renovation implemented in Ludwigshafen (Germany) is an example of how an unattractive territory can be converted into an almost elite district. Germans renovated this district thinking about the future.
If we compare buildings of the same construction year in Lithuania and Finland, we will see that the Scandinavians are head and shoulders above us. In Finland, advanced technological solutions and requirements for insulation of buildings were applied already in 1960s. Nevertheless, renovation of buildings in Finland is also relevant, only energy efficiency standards are considerably higher in this country.
